In the high gloss market, acrylic is the dominant surface. The addition of a high scratch-resistant lacquered coating (TopX) takes this material into a new dimension. Reactions from the furniture trade and the presentation of new furniture at the autumn trade fairs (MOW and Kuchenmeile) have shown that high gloss surfaces for furniture – and also for interior cladding and fittings – are becoming more popular. High gloss surfaces have increased dramatically in popularity for interior fitting and shop fitting as well as point of sale applications. High gloss surfaces give the customer a perception of high quality and style whilst the senosan® TopX lacquered coating gives the surface full durability.
To further increase the gloss level from our existing products, Senoplast/Senosan have developed a 2mm thick (TopX) lacquered acrylic sheet. senosan® TopX Acryl-Glass is a co-extruded material that is a direct replacement for glass fronts. The main advantages over glass are its low weight, claim-free processing and the ability to be cut and drilled on-site for fitting of handles.
Senoplast/Senosan will introduce senosan® TopX Acryl-Glass at the forthcoming ZOW trade show in Bad Salzuflen. Currently five colours are available from stock. Colour-matched, embossed, rear balancing sheets are also available form stock.
